Damian Maxwell is a master athlete representing Jamaica and the Jamcan Athletics Club.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas, USA.
In his early years, Damian attended Maldon High School and Cornwall College in St. James, Jamaica.
He currently serves as a lecturer at the University of Arkansas and also works as a sprint coach.
Damian Maxwell was the St. James Parish Champion in the 100m, and a finalist at the National Parish Finals in 2024.
In 2014, he won gold in the 4x100m relay at the Inter-Campus UWI Games held in Trinidad.
After a 10-year break from competition, Damian made a triumphant return to the sport, capturing the 2024 Ontario 200m title with a time of 23.53 seconds in Toronto, Canada.
He returned to Toronto and earned double silver in the 60m and High Jump, along with gold in the 4x200m relay at the Ontario Masters Indoor Championships.
Damian then journeyed across Asia to compete in the 2025 World Masters Games in Taipei, Thailand, where he won gold in the Triple Jump and placed fourth in both the 100m and 110m hurdles.
